We didn't set out to build software.
16 years. More than 500 events. Over 50,000 tickets sold in the last five years alone, most of it run by a team of just two or three people.
It started at university, throwing our own parties and music nights, learning the hard way what it takes to fill a room and give everyone a night they remember. That turned into a career, and it kept growing. We went from our own parties to running venues, hotel event spaces and nightclubs , where we did all of it: building up the venue's event business, handling every client, and producing the events themselves. Year after year the events got bigger, the names we worked with got bigger, and the crowds we were responsible for kept growing, while the team running it stayed two or three people.
We love the work, but it's relentless. The events were never the hard part; it was everything around them, the same inquiry answered ten times, the offer retyped in Word, the deposit chased across five tools. When we saw what AI could really do, we knew it could finally lift that weight. So we partnered with an AI developer, built a team, and set out to make the software we'd always wished existed, built by event managers, for event managers.

We build it for ourselves.
We're not developers by trade. We came from the problem. Openevent was built first inside our own venue, for our own team, and every meaningful feature still has to pass that test before it ships. If we wouldn't run our own event on it, we don't expect you to run yours.

Everything we build has to give you time back.
If a feature adds work for the team on the floor, it doesn't ship, and our AI is held to the exact same test. We come from this industry, so we know the admin, the tenth reply to the same inquiry, another offer drafted, another deposit chased, is rarely why anyone became an event manager. So our AI takes on the inbox, the schedule, the offers and the follow-ups. Not to replace you, to give you back the time for the work you actually love.

We win when you win.
No subscriptions. No setup fees. No per-seat charges. Openevent is free to register and free to use, we only charge 1%* when revenue actually flows through the platform. If you don't earn, we don't earn. Performance-based, on purpose: it keeps us honest, and it makes us build things that move your business, not just pad a feature list.

We're a Zürich company, building under Swiss law, with Swiss data residency. Precision, restraint and rigour show up inside the product, clean flows, fewer clicks, real attention to detail, not as a flag on the marketing page.
