Openevent is designed around the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP / nDSG). Payments are processed by Stripe, who maintains PCI DSS Level 1 certification. Our database partner Supabase is SOC 2 Type 2 certified, with all customer data hosted in their Zurich region.

Where your data lives.

Your customer database, CRM, event records and documents are hosted on Supabase in the Zurich region — physically in Switzerland. Data is encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS. When you use Openevent, your data stays in Switzerland by default. The only times data leaves Swiss servers are when payments are processed by Stripe, or when AI features handle a request — and in both cases your data is never used to train models.

You connect your own Stripe account, so revenue settles directly to you. We never hold your money, and we never see card details.

Openevent uses Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI to power AI features like inbox replies, request handling and content generation. Both run under their commercial API terms, which means neither provider uses your data to train their models. AI requests carry only the information needed to complete the task, and nothing more.

  • All customer databases are hosted on Supabase in the Zurich region — physically in Switzerland. The only times data leaves Swiss servers are when payments are processed by Stripe or when AI features are used.

  • Yes. You own your data and can delete your account, along with its data, at any time from your account settings — there's no lock-in. We recommend keeping your own backups, as we're under no obligation to retain data once you've deleted it.
