  • Yes. Sign up free, no credit card required, no subscription, no setup fee, no per-seat cost. You can use the majority of features completely free.
  • No, there's nothing to expire. Openevent isn't a paid subscription you're trialling, so you sign up free and use the majority of features free for as long as you like. The only thing you ever pay is 1%* on payments you actually process.
  • The 1%* fee applies only to payments processed through Openevent, that is Ticketing, Offers/Invoices and POS. Everything else is free. Stripe processing fees are separate.
  • No. The 1%* only ever applies to money you actually process through Openevent. Free events, RSVPs, guest lists and everything else cost nothing. No sales, no fee.
  • No. The 1%* is everything. No setup fee, no monthly fee, no per-event fee, no listing fee, no scanning-hardware fee, no support fee, no "upgrade to Pro" tier you have to climb to. Stripe charges its own processing fee per transaction, that goes to Stripe, not us.
  • Our pricing is deliberately simple and we won't spring surprises on you. If we ever change anything about fees, you'll get at least 30 days' notice first, and you'll still only ever pay on payments you actually process through Openevent.
  • No contract, no minimum term. Use it for one event, one weekend or for years. You only ever pay 1%* on what you actually process.
  • Sales settle into your own Stripe account on Stripe's standard payout schedule, typically 2 business days in Switzerland and Europe. Openevent never holds your money; it moves directly from your customer to you.
  • You handle refunds directly through your own Stripe account in a few clicks. Because Openevent never holds your money, the refund goes straight from your Stripe balance back to your customer. The 1%* Openevent fee on a refunded ticket isn't returned, as it's already been settled to us.
  • Simple, usually less than two hours from sign-up to live. Upload your existing customer list and our AI cleans it and maps it into the Openevent format automatically. From there a quick setup walks you through your event templates, calendar and team, and it's all configured by the time you're done. Our support team is on hand the whole way, by chat or call, and these onboarding calls are completely free.
  • Yes. Add your country's VAT rates and any custom taxes once, and Openevent applies them automatically on every ticket, offer and invoice. The built-in reporting lets you generate VAT reports and custom tax reports whenever you need them, so accounting and audits stay clean.
  • No, the 1%* is always absorbed from your payout. In practice the result is the same either way: whether you "pass it on" or absorb it, you set your final ticket price based on what you want to take home. We keep it simple so there's no confusion at checkout for your guests.
  • Yes, only if you want to use the revenue features (ticketing, offers, POS). You connect your own Stripe account, so revenue is paid directly to you. We do not hold your money.
  • Most teams never need it, Openevent works perfectly out of the box. Custom development is for enterprise venues, multi-location operators or migrations from legacy systems.
